General Summary We are seeking a full-time Diagnostic Radiology Technologist to perform accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in all areas of general radiology. This position entails ensuring patient safety, providing procedural information to patients, and maintaining the cleanliness and proper stocking of exam rooms. The ideal candidate will possess good clinical skills and demonstrate proficiency in operating diagnostic imaging equipment.
Essential Duties Perform quality diagnostic exams after verification of patient identification and physician order. Acquire an accurate patient history and document in the medical record. Monitor patients during procedures to ensure patient safety. Effectively communicate with staff and peers. Proficiently operate diagnostic imaging equipment and follow policy for any malfunctions or quality control failures. Utilize ALARA standards for minimizing radiation exposure to patients, staff, and self. Provide procedural information/education to the patient/family prior to each exam. Assist in the training of students/new hires. Maintain competency in all assigned areas including, but not limited to fluoroscopic, general diagnostic, orthopedic and operating procedures. Qualifications Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program.
